*** PHOTOS AND DESCRIPTIONS ***

DESCRIPTION: Stay relaxed, and get close to the ground before impact, think of a falling leaf.  Both arms come across your body, tuck your chin forward.  As you fall back and your shoulder blades touch the floor, slap with both arms, your palms will be facing down towards the floor.  You also need to look to one of your slapping hands to help prevent you from hitting your head on the floor.

1.  Both arms are folded across the body and the head is tucked forward.  Stay relaxed!!! 2.  Keep your head tucked and look toward a slapping hand.  Arch your back a little to help you roll back.  With that motion, you will start to roll forward, and begin to tuck a leg under.
3.  Notice as you come up, the tucked leg is propped with the top of the foot facing down (here it is the left leg).  If the foot is not facing down on the floor, you will have a difficult time coming up easily into a ready position.  Again, as stated before, do not prop your hands as you come up.  Propping a hand, or both hands, will prevent you from adequately defending yourself against kicks or punches.
